White House Version on details of implementing Iran nuclear deal in Geneva

January 18
RI: On January 16, the White House released the details of implementing the nuclear deal signed by Iran and the world’s six major powers.  Iran’s Foreign Ministry, however, strongly rejected the White House statement and called it a false version of the interim nuclear agreement reached early Sunday between Iran and the six world powers. “What has been released by the website of the White House as a fact sheet is a one-sided interpretation of the agreed text in Geneva and some of the explanations and words in the sheet contradict the text of the Joint Plan of Action, and this fact sheet has unfortunately been translated and released in the name of the Geneva agreement by certain media, which is not true,” said a Foreign Ministry spokeswoman in Tehran, according to Fars news agency.
The following is the White House statement ...

Teaching War Games on Iran in US Schools

24 Dec. 2012
Original by: Patrick Henningsen

RI: I remember a while ago, one of the US officials in Louisiana told me that the main reason for the low turnout in the US elections is the education system in this country. "The government has gradually removed the essential teachings of any democratic system lessons from the course syllabus he said, "causing the new generation to forget about their role in protecting democracy, leaving the political powers to abuse the vacuum situation", he added. It was quite interesting to hear such a thing from an official, though he was not ready to say it on the record, but receiving this video showing how deeply the US educational system has gone down is really worrying: Teaching students to glorify pre-emptive actions against another nation, here, Iran!

Why Iran Should Get the Bomb?

By Kenneth N. Waltz
July 2012

The past several months have witnessed a heated debate over the best way for the United States and Israel to respond to Iran's nuclear activities. As the argument has raged, the United States has tightened its already robust sanctions regime against the Islamic Republic, and the European Union announced in January that it will begin an embargo on Iranian oil on July 1. Although the United States, the EU, and Iran have recently returned to the negotiating table, a palpable sense of crisis still looms.

It should not. Most U.S., European, and Israeli commentators and policymakers warn that a nuclear-armed Iran would be the worst possible outcome of the current standoff. In fact, it would probably be the best possible result: the one most likely to restore stability to the Middle East.

US Ambassador privately admits Iran's nuclear ambition is not for weapon

WikiLeaks and The Guardian
26 January 2011

In a classified cable dated 29 April 2009, Ambassador Gregory L. Schulte confirms that Iran had no weapon programme in its nuclear activities. In his cable, he says, "Recalling the U.S. Intelligence Community's assessment in the 2007 NIE that Iran halted its nuclear weapons work in 2003, France asked about information in DDG Safeguards Olli Heinonen's February 2008 technical briefing, which indicated some activities had taken place in 2004. The U.S. responded that the information in Heinonen's February 2008 briefing was consistent with the 2003 weaponisation halt assessment, since some activities were wrapping up in 2004."

by Charles D. Ferguson
Jan 26, 2011

Last week, I spoke at a meeting of the Arms Control Association on the Multilateral “P-5+1” talks with Iran over its nuclear program. How can we improve IAEA monitoring and verification so that we can have sufficient confidence that Iran’s nuclear fuel-cycle activities are not used for weapons purposes?

A survey of Iran's election results, published today by Chatham House and the University of St Andrews, raises serious questions about the plausibility of the claimed victory and demonstrates irregularities in the official results.

According to this report:
Even the official statistics - obtained from the Ministry of the Interior - indicate that:
